The Clay People

On a road trip to McHenry County, Illinois,  Linda Lee Kiepke and Kate Keilty were inspired to find ways to bring focus to ceramic arts activities in Chicago's western suburbs.  Both Linda and Kate, each of whom is at once an artist, teacher and student, were the driving force behind the founding of The Clay People.

The club strives to foster a community in which ceramics artists and students can come together to learn and grow.  By sharing experience, perspectives and ideas, members can further their knowledge and growth in the ceramic arts.  Members have ample opportunities to participate in critiques and exhibitions of their work.  In addition, the club hosts visiting artists, both local and internationally known, to conduct workshops and seminars.
