Brush Making Workshop
with Glenn Grishkoff

Glenn Grishkoff has developed an international reputation as a ceramic artist and brush maker. His sculptural brush-like forms are functional brushes which he produces (from deer hair, bamboo, and other natural materials) to apply glazes and underglazes on his ceramic work. The materials utilized in his workshops also reference the characteristics of the forms and colors found In nature.
Since 1992 Glenn has presented over 150 "hands on" workshops and lectures in the art of Eastern and Western brush making and ceramics to Include: Ohio Craft Museum (Columbus, OH) ; Mashiko Museum ( Mashiko, Japan); McDonough Museum of Art, (Youngstown, OH); Cleveland Art Institute (Cleveland, OH) The Wooster Functional Ceramic Workshop ( Wooster, OH); Clay Place Gallery (Pittsburgh, PA); The Oregon College of Art and Craft (Portland, OR); Iowa State University Department of Art and Design, (Aims, Iowa) and The Archie Bray Foundation (Helena, Mt).
 
Mr. Grishkoff is an Assistant Professor in the area of ceramics at the University of Idaho. From 1993 to the Spring of 1997 Mr. Grishkoff was an Assistant Professor of interdisciplinary Art at Westminster College located In Western Pennsylvania. Originally from California, Glenn relieved his B.F.A. in art from the California State University Fullerton 1990 and his M.F.A. from the Claremont Graduate University In Claremont, California 1992
