Mr. Grishkoff has assembled 13 solo exhibits, exhibited in select. international
and national invitational exhibitions and received numerous awards and honors
for his work since 1987. During the summer of 1993 he was a participant In the
8th annual international Workshop for Ceramic Art in Tokoname, Japan. This workshop
consisted of 17 participants from various countries sharing in the creating,
firing and showing a ceramic body of work using traditional Japanese clays,
kilns and glazes.
Mr. Grishkoff was also invited to Japan in the summer of 1994 to be a visiting
guest artist at the Shigaraki Cultural Ceramic Park in Shigaraki, Japan. There,
he created a series of ceramic sculptures and vessels to be Included In the
visiting artists museum collection. In 1995, he received a research grant and
traveled throughout Southern Africa and Namibia researching artists and creating
his own ceramic and mixed media sculptures. These sculptures were later shown,
in a solo show Fall of 1995,at the McDonough Museum of Art in Youngstown, Ohio.
